ACTIVITY 1 -

This week I want to work with shadows and a nursery rhyme.

First, watch the video and try to understand what a shadow is? After that you can play with your own shadow by drawing it on a large piece of paper.

Now it's time to learn one Nursery Rhyme - "Hey diddle diddle" - first by watching the song and then by watching how you can do it with the shadow puppets.

ACTIVITY 3 - Craft. Puppet Shadow Theater

Now you can make your own shadow puppet theater! Here, I’ve linked a video to the picture so you can see how to make the theater. Once you have it made, choose one nursery rhyme and make your own puppets.

I put the pdf for the puppets of “Hey diddle diddle” here, but you can also choose a different nursery rhyme if you would like.

For example, in our home we did the “Itsy Bitsy Spider” nursery rhyme.

ACTIVITY 2 -let’s make a pop up card showing the sequence of events in the nursery rhyme.

Here you have a link with several nursery rhymes that can be used as examples.

You can also look online for 'Hickory Dickory Dock' and 'Itsy Bitsy Spider'.
