First, watch and listen to the story “The Mixed-up Chameleon by Eric Carle.” It is about a Chameleon who has a pleasant life catching flies and changing colors as he changes mood, but it is not very exciting.  One day he went to the zoo and sees all the other animals.  He wished he could be like them. Every time he met a new animal he wished to change and become like it, but eventually he realized it’s better to be as he was before - a chameleon.  In this story we learn an important lesson - it is best to love yourself the way you are.

 

As you listen, you can also practice with colors and animals. Below, you have some fun art activities to practice the names of colors.
